Tulsa’s Gathering Place, LLC. (TGP) Privacy Policy describes how TGP collects and uses personal information related to The Reading Tree website.

Who operates this website?

River Parks Authority, GKFF Parks Conservancy, LLC and Tulsa’s Gathering Place, LLC. (therein referred to as TGP) operates this website as part of its Reading Tree Challenge program. The Reading Tree Challenge is a Tulsa county program that engages students in a community wide reading goal. You can read more about TGP on our website at

What information does TGP collect and use?

TGP collects personal information for all users participating in The Reading Tree Challenge through the creation of an online account. Two separate account types are used on the site: Educator accounts for teachers and school administrators, and Family accounts for general public. Accounts are only available for users over the age of 13.

For educator accounts, TGP collects first and last name, email address, school affiliation, and grade level taught. For family accounts, TGP collects first and last name, and email address. Family accounts have the option to add Challengers. TGP collects Challenger first name and optionally grade level, school affiliation and teacher.

How does TGP collect this information?

All information is gathered during the account setup process and through profile updates managed by individual users. Select school districts provided teacher information for participation in the program.

How will TGP use this information?

All personal information provided is used for record keeping and tracking towards the established community reading goal. TGP may use the email addresses to send emails about the Reading Tree program, emails that contain education materials on reading and emails about other TGP programs for children.


How do you get my consent?

When you complete the account setup, you are granting consent for TGP to collect your information and the information of any Challengers you create within your account, and use it for the specific reasons stated in Section 1. Family accounts will also have the option to give consent to share Challenger information with a specific teacher account. This can be managed within your profile settings.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If you change your mind after you’ve opted in, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information at any time by contacting us at EMAIL.


TGP does not share personal information with third parties with the exception that TGP will give participating schools the information needed for to view their school’s participation and total books read across classrooms and grade levels.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.


To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Users contacting this website and/or its owners do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 1998. Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process, but we advise users using such forms to email processes that they do so at their own risk.
